I am feeling compelled to blog about what really matters in life. There are so many distractions in our lives to pull us away from what really matters. It doesn't matter how many friends you have on FaceBook (lately I feel like just canceling my account), it doesn't matter how many tweets you get on Twitter (again, opened an account but not sure why) or how many people find you on MySpace (should just close this one too!). There are just so many distractions that don't allow us to focus on the blessings that really matter. Stress at work along with family craziness is enough to break me out in a rash (has happened!).
I have so many blessings in my life that I want to share with others. I want to make myself and others smile. I want to help make other people's lives a little easier and more enjoyable. I want to help remove road blocks for others. I want to help not criticize. I am trying to focus each day on the things that matter and distances myself from the little things that only bring me down. Thank you for listening to me get that off my chest... You and Ray, are a blessing to all of your family and friends - to all who know you. From your close devotion and dedication to your family to your kind smile to a complete stranger - you touch lives every day.
Having some time to reflect (only wish I had reflected enough to introduce the no present thing - that is beyond refreshing!) - I've found myself going through the hustle and bustle of things - failing to tell those important to me how wonderful they are. So, I simply wanted to take a minute to make sure that I did. Your perspective, your insight, your strength, and your will - your friendship, your kindness, your compassion, and your heart - a true blessing in our world.
