Survived...

Well, it's official, I have turned 30 years old and I am still standing! I had a great weekend with friends and family. The celebration began Friday night with dinner and drinks at a local Mexican restaurant!

I am a cheap date, this is me with only 1.5 margaritas!

I started my Saturday morning with Cortney. She trimmed and colored my hair. She always does a great job!! I then went off to get my make-up done at Bare Essentials. Here is my car shot...I look angry but I was happy :)

Saturday night was dinner with friends at the Columbus Brewing Company. We had a great time laughing and reconnecting. Again, cheap date. Three mixed drinks and it was back to my house. I had a glass of wine, changed into my comfy clothes and Ray tucking me in bed by mid-night!

Sunday afternoon was spent with the family. Ray had to work so it was mom, dad, jim and me. We went to Spaghetti Warehouse and it was delicious! We came back to my house and had the Hix Family over for cake. Everyone was excited to eat Giant Eagle cake and Grandma Terry's cheesecake.

Monday was the official birthday! At work they "surprised" me with cake and ice cream. I have the best team ever!!

The grand finale..... Ray and I had a quiet dinner at the Cheesecake Factory! It was a nice ending to a WONDERFUL birthday weekend!

Thank you to everyone who helped make my 30th birthday so special! Love you all!

A big year...

As move into the second month of a new year we have many milestones ahead of us...

Leslie will be 30
7 year wedding anniversary
1 year since we lost Grace
4 years in our house
Leslie 10 years at Franklin University
Ray 11 years at Best Buy

We have achieved so much in such a short amount of time. In other areas we have made little progress. I am hopeful that this year we will make great strides in accomplishing even more. For me turning 30 seemed so far away. But then reality sets in and now that it's 2010 and I will turn 30 whether I like it or not! I didn't realize that many of my life goals were set to be accomplished by 30 years of age. With many of my goals marked off I will now need to set new goals!! If you have any ideas or suggestions please let me know!!
