Bitter Sweet....

A year ago today Grace was born and taken to heaven. It was bitter sweet going to the doctor today for a regular check up. It was weird to be there... we are sad and missing Grace...we are also over joyed with the new baby we are carrying. We know that we have many people praying for us and I know it's working! :)

We went in for a regular check up and the baby's heartbeat was 165 beats per min. The doctor said everything looks and sounds good. I got the o.k. to get a massage (from a professional, not Ray)! I love Ray but he is not so good with massages :)

We will go back mid June at 16 weeks for an ultrasound with the high risk doctor and we hope to find out the sex!! The following week we will see the regular OB. This will be the routine thru 20 weeks. I am happy to have many ultrasounds! :)

Thank you again for praying for us! I hope everyone has a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend!

We are due at the end of November!

I am sorry for waiting so long to give out more info but I wanted to wait for or 12 week ultrasound. We went to the high risk doctor today and everything looks good! They are running blood work and the evaluated the ultrasound pics and so far so good!! We will go back at week 16 & 20 to have more ultrasounds to make sure the baby is growing and developing on schedule.

Ray and I are very blessed to have so many friends and family praying for us! Over the last year we have learned so much about ourselves and what we can endure. We have come out on the other side stronger than ever. We will continue to pray that we have a happy and healthy baby as well as a happy and healthy pregnancy. Please pray for Ray that he can deal with me over the summer! :)

It's strange that tomorrow will be the 1 year anniversary of finding out that Grace was not going to make it to this world. It was the worst day of our lives. We are able to remember Grace for the 22 weeks she made us parents. We are forever her parents and I know she is watching over this baby and protecting them from harm.

We look forward to sharing our journey with all of you!

Below is a pic of the baby at 8 weeks and then the others are at 12 weeks.

Happy Anniversary!

Well, Ray and I celebrated our 7 year wedding anniversary on Monday March 22! I can't believe it's been 7 years. Ray and I met when I was 15 years old so technically we have been together for about 15 years!!! (we broke up early on, but I am not counting that) We have grown up together and I couldn't ask for a more perfect partner!!

We decided to get out of town and head off to Blue Chip Hotel, Casino & Spa, in Michigan City Indiana. Ray was focused on the casino part and I was very interested in the spa part!! We have been trying to find a place that was equally nice in all areas and I think we found the place. Blue Chip has great rooms, great good, nice casino and a very nice spa. I know we will be back!!

Happy Anniversary to the best husband in the world! I love you very much!

Survived...

Well, it's official, I have turned 30 years old and I am still standing! I had a great weekend with friends and family. The celebration began Friday night with dinner and drinks at a local Mexican restaurant!

I am a cheap date, this is me with only 1.5 margaritas!

I started my Saturday morning with Cortney. She trimmed and colored my hair. She always does a great job!! I then went off to get my make-up done at Bare Essentials. Here is my car shot...I look angry but I was happy :)

Saturday night was dinner with friends at the Columbus Brewing Company. We had a great time laughing and reconnecting. Again, cheap date. Three mixed drinks and it was back to my house. I had a glass of wine, changed into my comfy clothes and Ray tucking me in bed by mid-night!

Sunday afternoon was spent with the family. Ray had to work so it was mom, dad, jim and me. We went to Spaghetti Warehouse and it was delicious! We came back to my house and had the Hix Family over for cake. Everyone was excited to eat Giant Eagle cake and Grandma Terry's cheesecake.

Monday was the official birthday! At work they "surprised" me with cake and ice cream. I have the best team ever!!

The grand finale..... Ray and I had a quiet dinner at the Cheesecake Factory! It was a nice ending to a WONDERFUL birthday weekend!

Thank you to everyone who helped make my 30th birthday so special! Love you all!
